In 2021, the People’s Navy paid great attention to actual combat training, built and improved a new naval military training system, comprehensively improved the level of actual combat training, constantly accelerated the transformation from offshore defense to offshore defense, and steadily improved strategic deterrence and counterattack, maritime mobile operations, maritime joint operations, comprehensive defense operations and comprehensive support capabilities. Recently, the first domestic amphibious assault ship Hainan ship, which just entered the fleet this year, launched a series of experimental training tasks in a certain sea area of the South China Sea, and successively completed the cooperative training of ship-borne helicopters, hovercraft and amphibious vehicles, keeping a close eye on the key links of ship deployment optimization, improving command flow, strengthening coordination ability and so on, and solidly carried out various trainings, so that the combat effectiveness construction was steadily improved.

In October this year, the Nanchang ship, which participated in the Sino-Russian "maritime joint -2021" exercise in the sea and airspace near Peter the Great Bay in Russia, was the new face of the series of "maritime joint" exercises. This ship is the first ship of the 055-type 10,000-ton destroyer independently developed by China. It has successively broken through a series of key technologies such as the overall design, information integration and final assembly construction of large ships, equipped with new air defense, anti-missile, anti-ship and anti-submarine weapons, and has strong information perception, air defense and anti-missile and sea attack capabilities.

The surface warship formations that the Chinese side participated in this time left Hong Kong in early October and arrived in Peter the Great Bay in Russia on October 13. They came all the way through the waves and trained all the way. During the voyage, officers and men always focused on actual combat requirements, maintained combat readiness, and fully tested their ability to operate in the open sea. Participating ships from different units, relying on the modular platform to share the situation, the joint training ability has been fully tested. After the Sino-Russian "maritime joint -2021" exercise, the Chinese participating ship formation and the Russian Navy Pacific Fleet formed a joint formation to carry out joint maritime cruises.

In the deep winter, the Yellow Sea is full of wind and waves, and a submarine actual combat confrontation drill is in full swing. A submarine detachment of the navy in the northern theater adopts the methods of maneuvering guidance, no plan, independent confrontation, etc., to promote the transformation of military training to actual combat, confrontation and unknowns.

Since the beginning of this year, the naval submarine force has carried out high-intensity practical training at sea, practicing diligence, training precision and overcoming difficulties. It has repeatedly scrutinized and studied every extreme sea condition, every unknown scene and every operational element, and improved the overall actual combat level of the force from multiple angles and in all directions.
