Toast at the Welcome Banquet of the Third Belt and Road International Cooperation Summit Forum

　　Dear Heads of State and Government,

　　Heads of international organizations,

　　Representatives of various countries,

　　Ladies and gentlemen,

　　Ladies and gentlemen, friends,

　　Good evening!

　　It’s a great pleasure to get together with all your friends. First of all, on behalf of the government of China and the people of China, and together with my wife, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all the distinguished guests attending the third Belt and Road International Cooperation Summit Forum!

　　"Spring is blooming, but autumn harvest is actually." Over the past 10 years since the "One Belt, One Road" initiative was put forward, China, together with all partners, has promoted the Silk Road spirit of peaceful cooperation, openness and tolerance, mutual learning and mutual benefit, and jointly contributed to global interconnection, built a platform for international economic cooperation and added impetus to world economic growth.

　　We have carried out thousands of practical cooperation projects, and gained solid and heavy results, and jointly painted a magnificent picture that connects the world, the United States and the United States. These achievements did not fall from the sky, nor were they given by anyone, but were made by governments, enterprises and people of all countries with diligence, wisdom and courage! Let’s pay tribute to all the participants and builders of the "Belt and Road"!

　　Building the "Belt and Road" together pursues development, advocates win-win and conveys hope. Throughout the history of human development, only by striving for self-improvement and unremitting struggle can we reap numerous fruits and build long-term achievements that will benefit future generations and benefit all the people. This is the responsibility of our generation of politicians to present and future generations. Building the "Belt and Road" has gone through the first vigorous decade, and it is in its prime. It is imperative to forge ahead and rush to the next golden decade!

　　The world today is not peaceful, the downward pressure on the world economy is increasing, and global development is facing many challenges. However, we firmly believe that the historical trend of peace, development, cooperation and win-win is unstoppable, the people’s yearning for a better life is unstoppable, and the desire of all countries to achieve common development and prosperity is unstoppable. As long as we stick to the initial intention of cooperation and keep in mind the development mission, building the "Belt and Road" with high quality will certainly glow with the glory of the times and create a better future for mankind in our joint efforts!
