The western region of China will usher in the first comprehensive international sports event.

CCTV News:The 31st Summer Universiade will be held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province from July 28th to August 8th, which will be the first comprehensive international sports event held in western China. Today (April 19th), 100 days before the opening of the Chengdu Universiade, the the State Council Press Office held a press conference this morning. At the press conference, the relevant person in charge introduced that the Chinese college sports delegation was striving to participate in all the events. At the same time, the organizing committee will create a fair and clean competition environment for athletes.

At present, China’s sports delegation has more than 800 members, including about 500 athletes, who will participate in all 18 major events and strive to participate in all 269 minor events.

Wang Jiayi, Vice Minister of Education and Vice Chairman of Chengdu Universiade Organizing Committee:The delegation will carry out pre-competition training for 18 major events in a planned way, make good preparations at a high level and strive for the best results. At the same time, we should also do a good job in anti-doping work with a "zero tolerance" attitude, not only to achieve good results, but also to win medals cleanly.

Some new attempts have been made in doping inspection. For example, following the principle of thrifty competition, paperless inspection will be carried out by using China Doping Intelligent Management Platform. The inspection of dried blood spots will be carried out at the Universiade for the first time, and a fair and clean competition environment will be created for athletes through the latest scientific and technological means and strict procedural control.

100-day countdown to Chengdu Universiade: Universiade provides a platform for world youth to communicate and interact.

At the press conference, the relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Education said that this Universiade will take various forms to promote exchanges and interactions among the youth of the world.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Education, the Organizing Committee of Chengdu Universiade is currently working out and perfecting a special plan for cultural exchange, and according to the general idea of "youth, fashion, cultural infiltration, richness, beauty and beauty", it puts forward a series of activities to promote sports, science and technology, culture and innovation exchanges among college students around the world.

Of course, there are other things in Chengdu, such as Sanxingdui and Chengdu Cuisine, which are also very popular among young college students.
