When the audience often sees the stars putting on airs and pretending to be masters, they will naturally think that they have the absolute right to speak in the film and television circle. But in fact, even the top stars may face the fate of being replaced in this entertainment industry full of competition and variables.

Today, let’s talk about the actors who were temporarily replaced. Some of them may be replaced because of their own mistakes, while others may be victims of capital operation.

Wallace Huo

When Wallace Huo made his debut in The Lovers of Dolphin Bay, his typical image of a creamy young man with fair skin and knife-shaped eyebrows won his audience’s appreciation.

With the passage of time, Wallace Huo’s career, like a rising star in Ran Ran, soon became a popular niche in China. His turning point appeared in 2007, when he played the role of Xu Changqing in Legend of the Sword and the Chivalrous Man 3, his elegant image of "the son in white" was deeply rooted in people’s hearts, making him known as "the first handsome man in ancient costume".

Wallace Huo’s success has not been plain sailing. When he first entered the entertainment industry, he went through a difficult stage-being changed. Although he was fully prepared for the role, he had to give way because of the addition of another actor with a higher coffee table.

Shao Bing

In 2000, Shao Bing’s artistic career ushered in a major turning point. He originally played the leading role of Ling Huchong in the legendary swordsman directed by Zhang Jizhong, and together with Li Yapeng, he enthusiastically promoted the series.

After just over ten days of shooting, the plot changed dramatically, and Shao Bing was replaced by Li Yapeng.

This change stems from the decision of director Zhang Jizhong. Although Shao Bing won the honor of the film emperor and was taken by Zhang, some disharmonious factors during the filming, such as not obeying the rules of the crew and making frequent phone calls, led him to be considered as a big card player.

In the face of these accusations, Shao Bing argued that it was the crew’s dissatisfaction and rejection of him. This storm eventually led to his role being replaced in the play, which shocked the audience and the industry.

Shao Bing’s career suffered a setback. In those dark days, he received numerous inquiries every day, and his life was full of confusion and challenges.

Mini Yang

She gallops in the entertainment industry with high value and strong strength, and at the same time has huge flow and performance. After more than ten years’ efforts, Yang Mi has become the representative of first-line female artists.

After the divorce, Yang Mi’s image changed significantly. She has grown from a silly and sweet role to a strong woman, and has become a shareholder of Jiaxing Media.

Yang Mi’s road to success was not smooth sailing. In her early years, she was treated with hostility in the interview, which made her feel helpless and flustered. Thanks to the support and intervention of her family, she successfully got rid of this dilemma. Nevertheless, this incident made her lose her original role.

Even after becoming famous, Yang Mi had been forced to change roles because his background was not hard. These unfair experiences did not defeat her, but inspired her to work harder to prove her ability and value.

Meng Li

Li Meng, a talented actress, frankly recalled her being cast in White Deer Plain in a variety show.

Today, many years later, she is still confused about the reason for that replacement. In the cast and circle, she was regarded as "difficult" because of her perfectionist work attitude, and this evaluation came from directors Li Chengru and Zhang Jizhong.

There was a video showing that Li Meng had a dispute with the staff, which further confirmed her strict attitude towards the details of her work. According to insiders, Li Meng’s demands on makeup and drama details are extremely high, which often makes the whole crew wait.

Even Zhang Songwen, a co-actor, mentioned that Li Meng was sometimes too strict in pursuing dramatic effects.

Li Meng herself explained that all her requirements were to make the drama more perfect, but she gradually realized that her high standards brought a burden to others.

Chiu Man-Cheuk

In 2012, the shooting scene of the film "Special Identity" became the focus of the entertainment circle. Due to the conflict between Chiu Man-Cheuk and Donnie Yen, the behind-the-scenes of this film became complicated and confusing. When the cooperation between two martial arts stars seems to spark, things are developing in a disharmonious direction.

The crew had to make a public statement, announcing that Chiu Man-Cheuk and the crew had decided to terminate their cooperation because of their different ideas. This statement was directed at Chiu Man-Cheuk, followed by a series of criticisms against him.

Donnie Yen also pointed out that there was something wrong with Chiu Man-Cheuk in the subsequent interview, which further aggravated the storm.

Chiu Man-Cheuk did not remain silent in this controversy. He argued that he didn’t play the big card, but because of the differences with Donnie Yen on the script, the cooperation was terminated. Chiu Man-Cheuk criticized Donnie Yen’s changes to the script, which caused his role to change from a positive image to a negative one, and his scenes were greatly reduced.

As the dispute between the two sides escalated, more actors were involved in the dispute. Hong Kong actors tend to support Donnie Yen, while mainland actors stand on Chiu Man-Cheuk’s side.

Chiu Man-Cheuk finally chose to appear on a TV program, telling the cause and process of the incident in detail, trying to clarify his position.

In this dispute, Chiu Man-Cheuk indicated that he chose to strike in order to get a fair explanation, but this behavior eventually led to his exclusion from the cast. With the passage of time, this controversy has gradually become a thing of the past, but there is still no clear answer to the question of who is right and who is wrong.

Lemon

At the age of 17, Lemon was attracted by the famous director Li Shaohong for her good looks, which started her acting career. After signing a contract with a company in Li Shaohong, Lemon quickly acquired a lot of high-quality resources, including the role of the heroine who cooperated with the first-class stars, and her career was the same.

With the strong support of Li Shaohong, Lemon soon became the head of the company, Hua Dan, and his fame even surpassed that of senior actors such as Stephy and Yang Mi. The ease of becoming famous seems to make Lemon forget his original dream and initial heart, and gradually there is an attitude problem.

This attitude problem reached its climax during the filming of A Dream of Red Mansions. Lemon was eventually expelled from Li Shaohong because she didn’t respect the role and crew, and Yi Song took over the role of Xiangling. This incident has dealt a great blow to her career and her reputation has plummeted.

In order to save her career, Lemon even tried plastic surgery, but the result was not satisfactory, which aggravated her career dilemma. Now, Lemon has turned to be an anchor, and the dream that she once aspired to be a film queen seems out of reach.
